For a buyer of natural diamonds, gems and Jewelry, trust in ones supplier is a fundamental element —In a global economy, where commerce is conducted at lightning speed across great distances, how can a buyer of Diamonds, Gems & Jewelry achieves the degree of trust that inspires confidence? To provide a solution, the World Federation of Diamond Bourses introduced the WFDB Mark.

Founded in 1947 to unite diamond exchanges under one roof, the World Federation of Diamond Bourses came to provide a common set of trading practices for bourses dealing in Rough and Polished diamonds, as well as colored stones. Currently, the WFDB counts among its member organizations 26 bourses, located in 17 countries on four continents. Together, the bourses report a total membership of more than 15,000 traders.

In essence, the WFDB Mark is a trademarked logo, which approved members of WFDB-affiliated diamond exchanges may display to suppliers and clients, confirming that they abide by the WFDB'S ethical code, which is described in the World Federation Code of Principles (WFCOP). With the WFDB logo at its centre the WFDB Mark™ slogan itemizes the three elements that underpin the WFDB's ethical code — Tradition, Integrity and Accountability.
