"IN THE BEGINNING.........."

Pieceful Mountain Tops began as an encouragement from our youngest daughter. We started with quilt tops, quilt top kits and pre-quilted baby blankets. At the request of a friend I made her the first MOUNTAIN-MAID PURSE. Then came my daughters (and who can resist the request of your children and grandchildren), who said "WHERE IS MINE??" And so it has gone, everyone who sees a MOUNTAIN-MAID PURSE comments on the high quality of construction and uniqueness of each one. As one lady commented, "They sell themselves." I come from a long line of quilters. Almost all the women from my family heritage have been quilters for many years. I never thought I would ever quilt again but in the last couple of years have found several quilt patterns that I have fallen in love with and have made. But I NEVER thought I would get into making purses. I fell in love with the very first one I made for a friend and so it has went, I love making these purses because it seems to make those who receive them happy also. My husband retired a couple of years ago, and I just recently retired. We enjoy making these purses together. These MOUNTAIN-MAID PURSES are made in our home by my husband and myself.
