Hello and welcome to the page about me. I am a retired kindergarten teacher, at least I was retired about a month. I took a part time, soon to be full time job at my church managing a scholarship and teaching computer classes in our lab for older adults.

Three years later the 3 sisters in one of my classes said they would like to start a quilting class at the church and was I interested. I said I was and exactly 1 year ago we started our quilting circle. I could barely sew on a button.

It took me almost 6 months to finish my first quilt with tons of help from the 3 sisters and the material looked perferated because of ripping out so many seams numerous times. Finally I got it right and one of the sisters took it to the Amish ladies and it was hand quilted. It is beautiful.

Then my husband, who had been saving Crown Royal bottle bags, decided he wanted a quilt out of the bags. I made the quilt for him and pretty much decided that was it.

Then, I saw a quilt on the front of a catalog with pinwheels on it and I decided to make one. I made it and it didn't quite look like I wanted it to , so I made it again and BINGO I got it right. I had it quilted by the Amish and it is the best yet. I had enough material left for a second one just like it and I made that too but I put a calico backing on it instead of white. Awesome.

As you can see I have been quite busy making quilts. I made one for fall and a cat quilt and then a beautiful blue quilt. Since then I have switched temporarily to making tote bags and purses. So much to do and so little time.

I love to golf and play duplicate bridge too.

I included a picture of my husband me and called it newlyweds because in December we will celebrate our 2nd year anniversary.
