Oh - guess you now know I'm 60! We're all a bit wet from swimming. Being a grandma is awesome!

Thanks for stopping by!  What to tell you?  I’m a retired Coronary Care nurse but have always enjoyed working with textiles.  I’m a weaver but my looms have been sitting empty for many years now (since grandchildren started coming – they seem to take time).  I’ve dabbled in quilting for 30 years, if there is such a thing as dabbling in quilting – ha ha.  I’ve pieced much more intensely in recent years and my fabric stash has grown.  My on-line quilt shop grew from this love of fabric.  Although there is nothing like seeing and touching fabrics for yourself, with today’s lifestyle – less time and rising gas prices- people don’t always have the luxury of driving from shop to shop to coordinate the quilt they want.  I’m trying to meet that need so you can get right to the sewing machine and create.  If you have a local shop, I encourage you to visit them.  But if not, I’d love for you to spend some time in mine! 

I specialize in gorgeous Moda fabrics.  Looking at what I carry you’ll see that a lot of them are the soft more feminine styles -  such as 3 Sisters, Fig Tree, Blackbird Designs and Collection for A Cause fabrics.  With making quilts for 6 granddaughters I guess I’m drawn to that look.  We recently had a grandson, so more playful boyish designs will be forthcoming.  I’ve also always enjoyed the country look so Kansas Troubles Quilters are one of my favorites.  But Moda has so many talented designers – Minick & Simpson, April Cornell, Mary Engelbreit, Me & My Sister, Terry Clothier Thompson, Barbara Brackman... I could go on and on!  Moda fabrics are a good quality and a joy to work with. 

To the end of helping you get right to your project, I’ve assembled kits.  If you don’t see exactly what you are looking for, I’d be happy to work with you personally to create just what you need.  I also carry patterns and books to help you dream!  I’ve listed some yardage but have much more, so if you don’t see it feel free to ask.
