Hi,
Here is a little info on my artistic background. I don't have any! Well I do have ARTISTIC BACKGROUND but I do not have any proper schooling for what I do. All I have learned has come from experience, trial and error, or from devine inspiration. I have been into art of all types for as long as I can remember, including Rock music, hense the name R2(Robert Roberts) Rockz. The other reason for the Rockz part of my name is of coarse the gemstones and other rocks I feature on my eBay page. I love lapidary as well as sculpting stone. I really like to work all mediums including Wood, fossil ivory, other fossils, amber, opal, stone, alabaster, soapstone, antler, bone. I started out in graphic arts, sign painting, and air brushing for about 10 years till about 1992, then slowly got into carving stone, and now have been carving steady for the last 13 years. I find a real peace in taking a rough material and transforming it into something for all to enjoy. The CREATIVE PROCESS is where I get most of my artistic satisfaction from, not the end product. This is why I am able to sell so many of my hand crafted items on ebay.

About my jewelry
As a result of me being a rock hound, I have been able to accumulate many Lapidary tools and have found as much enjoyment in this end of the rock as the sculpting end. My all time favorite stone would have to be OPAL, then comes Fossils like Ammonite, Ammolite, Amber, and Fossil Bone. There is as much to learn in lapidary as there is to learn in any facet of rock hounding. I take much pleasure in collecting my own materials when I can. For me, This is crucial to the creative process.
