"Art is something that's always been a part of my daily life. I love experimenting with all mediums: painting, video art, sketching, photography and mixed media."
From landscapes to portraits, his style swings from abstract to surrealism. "My works are very detailed, and active.
They often contain human like images or alien cartoon characters. Art is a world of the imagination.
It allows me to create extensively and completely from my mind and soul." His work has been featured at - The Coffee Grind,
The Ruth Anderson Gallery, The Stratford Gallery, and at the 99 King Street Cafe, in London.
His design was chosen for the Double Decker Bus Tours Logo for the Stratford Festival Theatre.
Darryn James Rae is a talented young Canadian whose portfolio is eclectic, and extensive.
While his talents are foremost in the fine arts, Darryn also works as a musician, and cinematographer.
"The ideas for my artwork are improvised random images from my subconscious. My style is post modernistic,
abstract and surreal with an approach of the Cobra movement - the belief in freedom from the constraints of reason,
producing images entirely from the subconscious. Each of my works tells a different story according to the individual who views that piece."
