This is a fun thing eBay has provided!  We get to talk about ourselves!!  How often does THAT happen?!

I guess you wonder about my "title", so here goes:  Bauer pottery (as well as Niloak, Muncie, Ouachita and Garden City potteries, and Yona Ceramics), are my heritage.  My grandfather Fred Johnson worked at all except Yona.  My great uncle Matt Carlton worked at both Niloak and Bauer.  My father James Johnson worked at Niloak, Bauer and Garden City, and an additional 9 members of my family worked at some or all of these including my mother, Ann!

I spent a zillion afternoons, weekends, and vacations at Bauer and Yona, "working" (if you can call it that) and taking "lessons" from both my father and grandfather, and my mother when at Yona.  I have volumes of knowledge and information about them, and all the companies, which came from all of the above joyously, as they took great pride in their Art!  As a matter of fact, I've been working on a book entitled "BREAKING BAUER...Myths" covering my family's contribution to the medium and these companies in particular.  Hopefully, it will be published before the end of 2005.

I majored in Art, owned "Dream Makers Events" (weddings, large events) for 16 years, in which I designed one-of-a-kind custom wedding gowns, and my daughters (partners) provided custom catering, cakes, decor, accessories, etc.  We even did made-for-TV movies!  What fun!!

I have an extensive collection of (mostly) Bauer and Niloak, which includes hand-thrown items and proto-types from my father, grandfather and great uncle, that has just about taken over my home!  Oh...along with my (over 500) doll collection!  I love antiques/collectables and my home abounds! 

I began selling on eBay "for fun" and to thin out some of my collections...to make room for my cat, Peepers!!  After all, she does own our home!

I am currently building my own web-site, which will feature some of my dolls, pottery, vintage jewelry, vintage books and toys, etc.  If you'd like to purchase...or just look, please check it out (it will be attached below when finished).
