Hi...Herbs by Ounce is a store designed and operated by the writer, artist, and publisher of RagMag Org, along with providing content for a number of other web-sites. At near-sixty years of age, I am sometimes amazed at how well I feel most of the time, and seemingly lacking many of the common ills that other people my age, and younger complain about. It isn't as if I've never suffered a malady in my life..I have...but, recovered fully and in a relatively short period of time (with perhaps the exception of mental retardation...something of which I have occasionally been accused of) Further, anytime in the past when I have come down with strange aches and pains, or any symptom that indicated my body was out-of-whack...it had been after an extended period of time when I was not paying attention to a healthier life-style. eg. Proper diet, exercise, nutritional supplementation, meditation...etc. The picture below is of me (near 60 yrs old) after having returned to better health practices over the past two years...herbs were a part of the transformation from sickly to healthy again. I can bench press about 300lbs, dead-lift 350lbs and do a one-arm, dumbell curl with 90lbs after two years of training. My bicep measurement is almost 18", chest 48" with a 32" waist. Herbs are a part of my daily supplementation.

     I am a past Fitness Club owner/operator/trainer, which included a small health food store. My experience in fitness, nutrition, herbs and other alternative approaches to better health began at about age thirteen. Shortly after viewing the movie 'Hercules Unchained', I discovered a bodybuilding magazine on the rack of my local, 1960 era NYC candy store. Within those pages I discovered that people actually did exist with big, strong muscles...Steve Reeves (Hercules) was not just a Hollywood fabrication. It was then that I decided to learn how to build, bigger and stronger muscles so that I could pick up and hurl boulders at my enemies...I may have never reached Herculean strength, but did manage to grow larger, and stronger than average muscles. In the process,  I learned a lot about healing, nutrition, herbs and other stuff. Stuff that I always enjoy sharing with people who are seeking guidance in obtaining better health.

     So, there you have my short synopsis about me, and why I'm here at ebay selling herbs and other health related products. I'm not just a Johnny-come-lately pitch man who is just interested in making a buck...my reasons go a lot deeper than that. The picture in my profile was taken a few months ago, and is provided only as proof that I am as fit as I claim, even as an old guy...as you can see it is not a studio shot, and not altered or enhanced in any way...In the future, I will post a few, better pictures which might serve to encourage others to change their thoughts about what is...or not...possible.
