I have now been selling on eBay for almost three years, and enjoying ever minute of it! I achieved Power Seller status within the first year and with over a thousand feedbacks I still maintain a feedback score of 100%! Buying and selling antiques is my full-time job, so I take this business very seriously. I am determined to provide some of the best customer service on eBay, and I have many repeat buyers to attest to that. I subscribe to the eBay philosophy "that most people are good", and I am pleased to report that my experiences have been exceptional. I have always felt that some of the nicest folks I met were through my antique business and the on-line community is no exception!
Not so long ago, I did not even have an e-mail address, and now I think that shopping and selling on-line is the way to go! For what we might spend in postage, we save in time and gas, while often buying at less than retail prices. At the same time, I think we are re-cycling great treasures, plus supporting the small business community in the US.
I have a strong interest in vintage linens and antique textiles. I began selling quilts and country accessories 25 years ago in order to be a work-from-home mom. My "babies" are now 25 and 20! Many local dealers still remember me with a baby in a backpack and a stroller filled with quilts! I once specialized in antique quilts, selling thousands of quilts to dealers across the United States. I love textiles of all kinds, especially 19th century fabrics, and early hand-made clothing and textiles. I am most fascinated by the "make-do" spirit of American women. Women used a needle and thread to clothe their families, provide warmth, maintain traditions, raise awareness toward social issues, fund political causes, and support many compelling social issues of the mid-ninenteenth century throughout the Great Depression with their quilt making and sewing work!
I feel blessed to be able to earn necessary income while doing something I love and am passionate about. Most importantly, I am in contact daily with others who share the same passions and interests! I treat each new customer as an important client, and hope to be an active presense on eBay for many years to come!
