My beautiful wife and children.

HERE IS SOME OF THE FINE PRINT:
Thank you very much to all who stop by and to those who bid as well. Out of sincerity I try to describe every item not omitting anything intentionaly. I expect every person who bids to read the entire listing that they are bidding on completely and look at all the pictures. My return policy is very clear and I hold buyers accountable to abide by my requests. Please be aware that if you are bidding on my item and someone contacts you to try to sell the item to you right away it is a scam and not an email from me. I do sometimes end items early but only if I agree on a price with the potential buyer and money is first paid to my Paypal account (because most experiences in the past where I ended an item early before receiving payment have gone bad).
Each item specified as coming with a warranty will do so with a written warranty beginning from the day of auction close and delivered along with the item. Although I expect the items I sell to last many years past the warranty period most warranties are 6-12 months, at my discretion.
Any timepiece listed as "serviced" means the movement was taken apart completely, each part individually cleaned by hand, by ultrasonic cleaning machine or both, any missing, damaged or worn parts were replaced, the timepiece was oiled, timed (depending on the timepiece it is timed on the timing machine or manually) and adjusted to keep the best time accuracy possible. The dial and hands were lightly cleaned, if we see fit we refinished the hands with new luminous, if completely necessary we refinished the dial to be like new again. The case, band (if metal) and crystal (if plastic) were lightly polished and cleaned without removing any of the original finish or plating. To refinish a dial and to replate a case is usually a very tough task and expensive to do as well so for this matter you will see that in some timepieces I simply cannot afford to do that. Some customers have paid me in the past at the auction end to refinish the dial which I would be more than happy to do at your cost ($60-$100 average).
If you have any special request such as replacing a certain band to a different color or size or anything else which I can accomodate I will be more than happy to do at no additional cost. Please keep in mind that any type of changeout will be for the same value.
Some shipping rules in general:
I now offer free First Class shipping everywhere in the world (insurance and delivery confirmation included within the USA). Other faster services are offered at a cost which is reduced to what I actually pay. I try to ship all items within 24 hours or less of receiving cleared payment. If there is a delay in shipping most of the time it is due to the postal delivery. I will not assume responsibility for lost or damaged items for customers outside the USA if the item is not insured. Also please be aware that any postal fees, and or custom fees that the importing country may charge you are your responsibility. Please be an informed buyer and find out your local import regulations. I ship at least 7-15 packages daily for Ebay sales and customers watches returned from repairs in and out of the USA and here is what I can offer as advice:
Within USA, First Class packages small in size will travel just as fast as Priority Mail which is why I ship my items with First Class.
Outside of the USA all shipping options have almost the same delivery times.
Delivery times usually depends on the countries customs office and postal system.
There are many countries to which mail travels fast and safe such as UK, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong and many others. There are also some countries to which the mail travels slower, such as Canada, Italy, etc. and to some countries mail is just not safe such as Mexico, Thailand, etc. Please keep in mind that once out of my hands most packages take 7-30 days for arrival.
For customers outside the USA none of the shipping options below actually offer insurance so if you want a faster and safer guaranteed delivery (8 days or less) ask for Global Express Guaranteed with FEDEX. This usually costs anywhere from $30-$100 depending on the weight, destination and insured value.
Shipping costs for inside the USA:
First Class-Free Express-$19
Shipping costs for anywhere outside the USA:
First Class-Free Express-$20.75

Some tips in caring for your timepiece:
*Do not drop it! Severe damage can occur especially on heavier watches such as pocket watches.
*I am of the opinion that vintage and antique watches must be kept away from water (even if they pass a pressure test). Salt water, chlorinated water and water containing fluoride (especially in the USA) will harm a watch working it's way in from the outside. Even a waterproof watch having the crown left in the setting (open position) may have one drop of water easily enter and rust the movement.
*Severe cold, heat, dusty or humid areas are not good for any watch, so try to keep away (especially pocket watches which were never made to give a good closing seal like a wristwatch).
*Do not attempt to open watches if you do not have the experience to do so. Many watchmakers themselves damage watches by opening the wrong way. If opening a screw in back pocket watch do not leave the movement exposed for too long because tiny dust particles are easily attracted and stick to the lubricated parts.
*Proper winding is esential for manual wind and automatic wind watches. Automatic watches wind with any movement of the wrist but do not wind when not being unused. Every watch manufacturer recommends winding an automatic watch a few turns of the crown before placing it on the wrist. Manual wind watches must be wound all the way, in most cases winding is done by moving the crown forward only. Stop when the mainspring has reached it's end. Going beyond that point will break the mainspring and not winding all the way may affect the time accuracy and the lenght of time the watch runs.
*Service your watch at least every 3-5 years. It may have cost you $100 to purchase the watch but in order to maintain it properly be prepared to spend at least 3-5 times that during the course of its life (25 years or more). A service may cost around $45-$75 because it takes more time than doing an oil change on a car and the work is minute and more challenging. Like a car a watch is a mechanism that needs attention and more precission. Even if you dont wear a watch, the oil hardens and needs service once in a while.
There is much more to say, this is just a little advice. I do not claim it is the best advice or that we are the best or that you will never have problems with our items because things do happen but I can assure you that I always strive to meet your expectations. Please understand that it is very hard to sell items of the nature of what I sell, many an average of 50-100 years old and have them 100% to everyones satisfaction. So if at any time you feel unhappy with your purchase just let me know. Your positive feedback and perfect DSR rating is what I hope for. Your comments, suggestions, advice and questions are very welcome.
If you have a comment or a special part or item request please drop me an email. I may not always be able to respond right away or respond at all if it is just a comment or request but I will try and I always add the requests to my list.
I wish to all out there health, happiness, prosperity and any other blessings you may wish for as you are reading this! This world is abundant and has plenty of everything for all, so just believe. God bless!
