The Real Naked Spider

So, just what is a naked spider? People ask us that all the time. Well, rest easy, it's not what you might be thinking. In fact, there is no such thing as a naked spider -- at least we've never seen one. However, if anyone does come across a naked spider, we'd love to see it for ourselves, so please keep us in mind!
So how did we come up with the name The Naked Spider and Naked Spider II? Well, it all started when we were on vacation in Florida one year. We were visiting the Deering Estate at Cutler and as we were walking around the grounds, we almost walked right into a huge spider web. Of course it wasn't empty either! Needless to say, we were startled and creeped out all at the same time. Sitting quietly (probably wondering how it could quickly crawl over to us and bite us) was a beautiful red speckled spider! And it wasn't one of those tiny things you see everywhere, this one was quite large! So with this spider in mind we tried to come up with a name for our store. Which is where The Naked Spider comes in....
With that red speckled spider in mind, we opened our doors and began selling imported framed spiders, framed insects, and other imported items. And from that starting point, we have evolved into a jewelry line, which is also somewhat imported. We carry a line of Bico Australian Tribal Jewelry that is beautiful and unique and each piece has a meaning attached to it.
We try to carry something different and unique, and something that you won't find at every corner store. Yes, we've made mistakes but we've also had great success. And we will continue to do so.
So, that is how we started -- from a simple idea to a store. We have grown alot since our first sale and we are constantly learning and trying to please our customers. We try hard to find the perfect items that we believe people want and will continue to do so as long as our customers support us.
Thanks to our customers, we are still around. We appreciate all the support we receive from each of you.
