recent 500T restoration for client

CXTC's Parts & Accessories was started in 1999 after the owner, Dan Topping had accumulated a wealth of contacts and parts inventory as a result of restoring a 1982 honda CX 500 Turbo motorcycle. A serendipitous CXT search in 1997 on a new personal computer re-ignited a past passion for this excellent motorcycle. Dan was one of the first owners in the US to place an order for a 500T back in December 1981, from Fox Valley Motors in Aurora, Ill. He took delivery of his original 500T in April 1982 after an excrutiating wait while the bike was on display for a month at the dealership. Dan used the network established during the restoration to offer parts, services, and expertise to CXT owners all over the world. He is globally recognized as a great source for new and used CXT parts, as well as an innovator of specialized accessories designed specifically for the CXT. CXT enthusiasts worldwide are continually provided a means of enjoying their CX Turbos on the road as they were meant to be, having CXTC's to help them keep their CXTs up and running.

Dan is a husband and father, honorably discharged US Marine, ASE Master Auto Tech, Honda Master Tech, professional educator and administrator, patriot, active in church and community civic groups. I worked as an industrial equipment sales engineer after college in the Chicago area until 1983, a senior Honda tech at a Honda car dealership, Valdosta, Ga.,until 1988. I recently left public education as an automotive service technology teacher for the past 18 years at Tift County High School, Tifton, Ga., completing two graduate education degrees, and accepted the position of Industry Management Program Coordinator at VC Tech, December 2005, in Pelham, Al, near Birmingham. Unfortunately, VC Tech closed in Sept. 2007. I have since accepted a position at Griffin Technical Cllege in Griffin, GA to establish a new Diesel Equipment Technology program to train heavy diesel technicians. The program is based in a new campus in Butts County, 1.5 miles West of Jackson, GA on Highway 16.
