After selling on Ebay for 9 years, I thought it might be time to do an “about me” page. I have been a bookseller for 20 some years, long before the internet came into being. It all began when I was given a copy of the AB Bookman trade publication from a bookseller in Cleveland Ohio … from then on I was hooked. I began “quoting” which was the process of trying to sell your books to bookdealers who wanted titles that you had – very laborious and often not rewarding. AB also had excellent "Special Issues" which focused on one area of bookselling (Fine Arts, Western Americana, Children's Books, etc) with articles by known experts in the field. After a couple of years, I attended the week-long AB Bookman seminar in Colorado Springs where I learned many of the professional ins and outs of selling books, or trying to. I worked at bookselling on nights and weekends while working full time. Once the internet appeared, it was much easier to simply put books on-line. This continued after leaving Cleveland and moving to Arizona.

If you are reading  this page, please know that I am NOT a mega-seller. I take a lot of time with my descriptions, probably more than is necessary, but at least you will know what the book is about, and its condition. I also clean each book and dust jacket to the extent possible, and add a new mylar cover most of the time (sometimes a book is simply too large for a cover). Packing is also done with care. Occasionally, I will slip up …  generally this is before I ship the item, at which time I will apologetically email you advising of the situation, and asking if you would like to cancel your purchase or proceed with the sale. I hope this information will help you when making a decision whether to purchase an item from me, and offer a bit of confidence when buying from an unknown seller in this mad wonderful world called Ebay!

Also, I now find it is time to downsize many of my collecting interests, and in this regard, you will find many beautiful and unique items in my store that I hope will find a new home, and a buyer who will be just as excited about their purchase as I was when first buying it for my collection(s).
