I reside in Calgary, Alberta where I am a prosecuting attorney for Alberta Justice. I have three loves in my life: my wife, Sheri; my son, Jordan; and books.
What do I read and collect?
I read almost anything but mainly modern literature [favorities: Margaret Atwood, Umberto Eco, Jeffrey Eugenides, Timothy Findley, Jonathan Franzen, Charles Frazier, Mark Helprin, Kazuo Ishiguro, Rohinton Mistry, Robert Sawyer, Neal Stephenson, and Tim Winton.
The treasures of my first edition collections include: "The Sun also Rises, A Farewell to Arms, For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Old man and the Sea, A Moveable Feast" - all by Hemingway. A signed 1st/1st of the 2002 winner of the Booker Prize: "Life of Pi," by Yann Martel. I also have firsts by John Stienbeck, and of all of the earlier mentioned modern literature favorites.
