Elizabeth Drake Garand



Elizabeth Drake Garand taught school for 28 years, then retired to fulfill her long-awaited dream of writing lizabeth Healthy Home Cooking She is originally from Waterville, Maine and received a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics (Family and Consumer Science) from the University of Maine - Farmington. She went on to earn a Master Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Sixth Year in Administration at Southern Connecticut State University - New Haven.

Elizabeth has been recognized for her dedication to education by receiving several prestigious awards including: Bristol Teacher of the Year (1988), Runner Up for State of CT Teacher of the Year, and the coveted Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award. In addition, she was awarded the Zion Lutheran Church eed the NeedyAchievement Award. For 10 years, she and her students preparing and serving wholesome meals to the needy.

 A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will donated to the rohn and Colitis Foundation of America
