My name is Bruce Raynor. In 1985 I set up Raynor Shine Ent. after ending a career in government. Over years I have have done a lot of things through this company. For the last 15 years this has often involved buying and selling surplus equipment. For the last 10 years much of this has ended up being sold through eBay and other on-line sites.
Please feel free to browse through what I have on offer here. If you do not see what you need, please contact me and I will see if I have it in stock or can find it elsewhere,. If I don't have, I may be able to suggest how you might find it.

Payment Options (USA)
I am sorry Americans must pay using PayPal. On January 1, 2009, under the pretense of buyer protection, eBay.com (USA only) changed its policy so that sellers can no longer accept any form of payment that cannot be electronically verified. The only exception to this appears to be cash on pick up. Consequently, US based eBayers and anyone shopping on eBay.com must use PayPal when shopping with me or be prepared to pick the item up. I am sorry that this is the case because, as most of my listing are on eBay.com, this means 10% of my customers will now have to change their methods of payment. If you have a problem with this, please contact eBay as they will cancel my listings unless I comply.. The have been intransigent on this in their discussions with me, If you are in Canada, please consider using eBay.ca for your purchase as these rules are not being applied the same way there.. My listing will increasingly be based on eBay.ca and elsewhere over eBay.com USA. I am sincerely sorry for any inconvenience.
Canadians wishing to use PayPal for payment must do so in Canadaian funds and must add 5% GST (tax) to the total of the item and shipping costs. This cannot be done directly from the sale site as my eBay account is at eBay.com (US), not eBay.ca (Canada) and PayPal will only directly process payments in the currency in which the deal was done. To get around this the buyer can "send money" as an "other" type of payment specifying the deal's particulars in the title and text sections of the PayPal form. I can also send the buyer a PayPal invoice with this already done if the buyer has a problem doing it on their own. As I am a Verfied PayPal seller buyers are protected for all of their eBay and other purchases when they buy through me using PayPal.
Direct Deposit Payments (Canada only)
I have bank accounts in Canada into which you can deposit payments as simply as making a deposit into you own personal account. There are no service charges or fees involved. The process is the same as making a manual deposit to your own account. You use my name and numbers instead of your own. You can use whatever form of payment the bank will accept and clear within 24 hours. You must notify me once you have made one of these deposits.
Bank Transfers / Canadian On-Line Transfers
Conventional transfers between banks are usually relatively quite expensive ranging from $8 to $20 for each party per transaction. I would prefer not to use this type of service for transactions under $1000.
In Canada it is now possible to do a bank transfer on-line for a minimal charge within Canada. If you bank online with TD Canada Trust, Scotiabank, Bank of Montreal or CIBC contact your bank for further information on eMail Money Transfers or contact InterAct / CertaPay through http://www.certapay.com/en/homepage.cfm . CertaPay charges only the sender and their fees are less than $2. I will split this with the sender if this cost is an issue. According to eBay.com Canadians must use eBay.ca to make payment using any other method but PayPal.
I will accept cash payment when pick up is done in person.
Delivery :
I try and mail items within one business day of having received payment. My policy is to notify buyers that payment has been received and the item is on its way. If you have mailed payment to me, you can estimate that it will take about as long for the parcel to reach you as it did for your payment to reach me. Delivery times to the USA from here have ranged from 2 days to 2 months, with the average being 5 to 10 working days.
Most items going to the USA are mailed by "Expidited" first class mail. This level of service allows for basic tracking and delivery confirmation via canadapost.com and a tracking number which I will send the buyer. Items under 2 pounds are shipped by the Small Package class of mail which is not trackable. If you wish to have your light weight packages upgraded to a trackable level, the added shipping cost is about $10 within North America, about $45 extra elsewhere. I have a mail loss rate of less than .01% on 4000+ items, however I acknowledge that "stuff" happens. If you are concerned about mail theft possibilities please ask that the item be insured. The cost of insurance is $1 per $100.
Some Canadian customers complain that my rates are cheaper to some overseas destinations and the USA than within Canada. This often the case with packages under 4 pounds / 2 kilos due to international postal agreements Canada Post has and a lack of interest providing low rates within Canada. On the bright side, I can usually send heavier parcels domestically at half the cost of my American competitors and there are no Canada Revenue inspection fees levied on them (they charge a $5 + tax on items over $20 in value).
If you want to use a courier service, I have accounts with UPS and FEDEX Ground. Call them at 1800PICKUPS or 1800-GOFEDEX. They will use my postal code as a reference and can give you a rate if you can give them the package size. There basic 5 to 8 day services are usually about 25% more expensive than mail on small items, about 10% more on larger items.
US Customs Brokerage, Duties and Canadian Taxes
Buyers outside of Canada are not subject to Canadian taxation or duties. Very little of what I sell is subject to US Customs scrutiny, so it is highly unlikely duty, brokerage or inspection fees will be incurred on purchases being sent to the USA. I have had only one mailed package ever inspected and there was no duty due on it. UPS fees include US Customs clearance if their value is under $200 US. Above this amount a $20 UPS fee is levied. Heavier items shipped by truck do require the services of a Customs broker. The minimum fee they charge me for this is $25. There is also a US Customs processing charge of $15. As the buyer you are responsible for these plus any duty due unless otherwise specified in the eBay ad. Duties are not charged on US made goods and seldom charged on anything else. The highest duty I have seen paid is 3.5% on a piece of printing equipment. Please check with a Customs broker such as Norman G. Jensen and Assc. http://www.ngjensen.com/ if this is a concern.
Items being shipped outside of North America by methods other than mail will require the services of Customs broker. Buyers should contact me in advance of a purchase to confirm related fees.
Buyers in Canada are responsible for paying GST which I must collect on the Canadian Government's behalf at the 5 % rate. My GST number is 109343715. I do not collect PST as the Government of Alberta doesn't charge such taxes and I have no resposibility to do so for other jurisdictions.
FEEDBACK
I try an leave feedback in response to feedback left about me. I seems that about one in four buyers leave feedback. I don't know why the ratio is so low. I suggest that you leave feedback after you receive the item you have purchased. I will respond to feedback as it is left.
Thanks
for doing business with me
Bruce
