I am a working, middle class, family man who came on eBay one day to buy a cordless drill because my wife's friend said that they had them there pretty reasonably priced. Much to my delight, I found LOTS of drills...and other items that caught my interest. So I began buying items...and the packages started arriving. I now fully understand how so many women get caught up in the whole shopping frenzy! I am now hooked on eBay! I have bought all sorts of things. From Coca Cola items for the wife, Christmas presents, birthday presents, and graduation presents for friends and family. I have had so much fun shopping on eBay. But now I have an overabundance of stuff in my house. Stuff that I had before I discovered eBay, stuff from my Mother-In-Law's estate after she passed away, and all the new stuff I have bought from eBay. It was time to (as my wife says) PURGE!
I have several grandchildren. I have a total of 7 at this point and time. All ranging in age from 2 years old to 9 years old. I thought that eBay would be a great way to buy Christmas presents and this is a store that is open when I WANT TO/CAN SHOP! I have been thrilled with the way I can buy for the grands, have my wife look it over and tell me if the sizes are right. I can ask questions of the seller without feeling as though I am taking time away from someone else. I have enjoyed my whole eBay experience...up until a certain point...I now have more stuff than I want in my house and need to get rid of some of the clutter. So I talked to the wife about a yard sale. She said I should sell it on eBay because there are so many people out there who wouldn't be able to come to Louisburg, Missouri to attend our yard sale and would probably like our stuff. So I contacted one of the sellers I frequent (she always has listings for stuff for children and such) and I asked her how to go about selling on eBay. She let me know all the details and we have become a great team. She has even bought from me now! I love eBay and can't imagine shopping without it.
With Walmart, Kmart and Target ending their layaway programs, this is the only way I know to make a dollar stretch, buy a great item for a fair price, and everything is listed on eBay!
I believe in fair business practices and feel as though eBay is the way to sell in a fair environment. They make sure that the field is level and that we all sell and buy with the same rules and regulations. Its the only way to ARM CHAIR shop.
