NEGATIVE FEEDBACK DETAILS:
Due to the fact that I have received a negative feedback with only 80 characters below it to defend myself, I have decided to put the details here on my About Me page to assure any buyers that this negative feedback was left unjustly and in a malicious manner. Additionally, I cannot revise the positive feedback I extended to the buyer prior to the train wreck portion of the transaction, so the positive I left no longer applies. This transation was anything but painless. Read on and you will see.
NOTE: For accuracy purposes, I have made no modifications to the communication between the buyer and the seller with exception of the vulgarities used by the buyer. Any reference to the buyer's personal information is non existent and the buyer's screenname has been changed to 'BUYER X', although the buyer's screenname is publicly viewable on my Feedback Details page.

Yo, whats with the cover??? The cover shown on the ad was the original first printing cover and not the variant. For serious comic book collectors this is a problem. I already own the variant cover, so I paid you $8 for a book that I already own. Its only $8 so I really dont care enough to get a refund or anything like that, I just want you to know that I will be leaving you negative feedback so that maybe you might learn something being honest and maybe a little smething about selling comics

The issue here was the fact that the picture provided within the listing for this particular comic was from the publisher's solicitation, which at times does change and because of this, it is noted in ANY and ALL listings that are created prior to the street date of the comic. This way the buyer knows, up front, that the picture is not necessarily the final product. With this info, I responded, thinking this must be some kind of misunderstanding, especially since the comic was received by the buyer exactly two days from the day it was released...

#1 - Read the description:
NOTE: THIS ISSUE IS SCHEDULED FOR RELEASE ON AUGUST 27, 2008. AS A RESULT, THIS LOT CANNOT BE SHIPPED UNTIL THEN, BUT WILL BE SHIPPED IMMEDIATELY AFTER. ARTWORK SHOWN IS FROM PUBLISHER'S PRE-ORDER SOLICATION AND MAY BE DIFFERENT FROM THE FINAL COVER ART. ANY DELAYS DUE TO THE PUBLISHER OR DISTRIBUTOR, WILL BE ANNOUNCED TO THE WINNING BIDDER.
#2 - Next time before you leave NF, you should try contacting the seller to work things out ESPECIALLY when the misunderstanding was not the sellers fault. I have always worked things out with all of my buyers and to immediately jump and leave negative feedback without contacting the seller to work things out is actually against ebay policy.
#3 - If you want to fix this, I am willing but you will need to retract the feedback because this was CLEARLY stated in the ad and the last thing I want to do is try and pull the wool over someones eyes for 2.89 sale.

Additionally, when leaving negative feedback, there are a series of questions you are asked before you can leave negative feedback and one of them is 'Did you contact the seller to resolve?'. Since the buyer left negative feedback, this means he checked the box that said he contacted the seller, and since I was not contacted to work this out, this means that question was answere untruthfully. So I made sure to send the very info that the buyer had to agree that they complied with in order to leave the negative feedback....

Communication reminder: Now, before buyers can leave negative or neutral Feedback, they see a page reminding them to communicate with the sellers first, allow enough time for the items to arrive, and keep feedback comments factual. Buyers must check boxes next to all three of these before they are allowed to leave negative or neutral feedback.

THE COMIC YOU RECEIVED WAS THE ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING. THERE IS NO VARIANT FOR THIS ISSUE. IT'S ONLY BEEN OUT FOR THREE DAYS!!!

THIS IS CALLED FEEDBACK ABUSE BECAUSE IT IS RETAILITORY, PROVEN FURTHER BASED ON THE STATEMENT ABOVE. RATHER THAN CONTACT ME TO WORK IT OUT AND EVENTUALLY PROVE THAT THIS WAS NOT MY FAULT AND THE FACTS WERE AND STILL CAN BE SEEN AS CLEARLY STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION, YOU HAVE PROVEN THIS FEEDBACK WAS SOME KIND OF ATTEMPT AT PUNISHMENT OR LESSON IN COMIC BOOK SELLING IRONICALLY ENOUGH CONSIDERING THE CIRCUMSTANCES.

At this point, I thought, despite the fact that I was slapped with a negative with no warning or offer to resolve a misunderstanding that was clearly not my fault, and furthermore, after shipping the comic to the buyer so fast (as I do with all my buyers), certainly he would understand, after I re-clarified what was already clear within the item description. Then I got this response (hold on to something secure)...

Dude you're an idiot!!! It wasnt abuse I just get a little p*ssed off when Im lied to. THE PICTURE WASNT THE SAME AS THE COVER ART: HOW IS THIS NOT WORSE THAN ME TELLING PEOPLE YOU"RE A LYING A*S. Im a serious comic book collector and if you're not thats cool but STOP SELLING F*CKING comics then. You are the only person on here that I have ever had problems with and I honestly dont suffer fools for long which is why I chose not to deal with you about "fixing" this. But its ovious you know nothing about comics and therefore would probably not even have the cover I wanted in the first place. I will never buy from you again and I will continue to go out of my way to tell others not to deal with you either. Please leave me alone Im dont suffering you fool!!!

OK. Now I think I am either hallucinating or maybe he did not read the same e-mail I sent or maybe somehow the words morphed into something else once I hit the send button, so I actually went back and re-read it just to make sure and as you may suspect, it was indeed the same e-mail I wrote. At this point, I simply had to defend myself. That and the fact that he called me a dude.

Using negative feedback as a threat or a leverage weapon is abuse. Please show me, in print, where I lied to you. Please. Do you mean the part of the description where it said, and I quote, 'ARTWORK SHOWN IS FROM PUBLISHER'S PRE-ORDER SOLICATION AND MAY BE DIFFERENT FROM THE FINAL COVER ART'??? That means that the picture you saw in the listing was not necessarily the final cover of the comic for that item. This was CLEARY noted up front & I am perplexed as to how you deduce that I was somehow being dishonest to you or not a serious seller. Furthermore, if you are a serious collector, than you should know there is ONLY ONE COVER for this issue. There is no variant yet. It does not exist. Only one cover was printed by Marvel, therefore I can only produce one cover for sale unless they decide to print a variant cover. Additionally, a serious collector would stop & take a moment to discuss a problem they have with someone. I am extremely serious about my business and have always been willing to work out any issue with anyone. My positive feedback is not only positive in value but most is glowing which further proves that I am not only serious & take this seriously, it proves that I care about making sure each & every customer is happy. Yet you offered ZERO chance to resolve an issue that was, as it turns out, YOUR FAULT for NOT reading the description & for you to take it a step further and ATTACK me personally with insults, as well as my business by leaving misleading feedback, and even further by THREATENING me and my business, shows that this whole dealing is suspect and I was somehow targeted because I had 100% positive feedback. Your comic was shipped THE DAY it was released, on Wednesday, which you received 2 days later on Friday. If that, and my other 402 positive feedbacks (as compared to your total of 4 which sadly I contributed to before.. this) does not show you that I am serious about my business, than the arguement is moot. Thank you for the lesson.

And if you are to stupid to realize both of the cover arts for this issue are both done by Mark Millar, both covers came out with the book, and Im sorry if I didnt read every little nuance of ur ad; but everyone else selling that book had the right cover art to match their books(why didnt you? hmm). So yea dude I dont appreciate the six email you have already sent me, your attempt to "out smart" me when it comes to the nuances of comics, and your general dbagory. It's one person, I piece of negitive feedback, so I emplore you to just go the f*ck away!!!

Oh, oh, OH! He did NOT just call me dude again. There is so much to go with here, but at this point, I am exhausted and it will be nothing but a huge waste of time, so I will close by responding publicly below.

And if you are to stupid to realize both of the cover arts for this issue are both done by Mark Millar (actually both 'cover arts' are done by John Romita Jr, while Mark Millar is the writer, but any 'serious comic collector' would know that, right?), both covers came out with the book (Oh, yeah, and that is right, there was only ONE 'cover arts' for this issue), and Im sorry if I didnt read every little nuance of ur ad (COMPLETELY my fault of course, that YOU did not read the ad); but everyone else selling that book had the right cover art to match their books(why didnt you? hmm). So yea dude I dont appreciate the six email you have already sent me, your attempt to "out smart" me when it comes to the nuances of comics (I am publicly announcing a reward is in the pipeline for anyone that can show me where I was attempting to outsmart this guy. SERIOUSLY. Cause it didn't happen. I think I might pull a muscle trying to outsmart someone who could construct the e-mails above), and your general dbagory (I now have a new word to add to my vocabulary, so I guess I somehow owe this guy a debt of gratitude. So there you have it. Hope you enjoyed it half as much as I did. If the 400+ positive feedbacks does not give you assurance that I ALWAYS take extremely good care of ALL of my buyers, than hopefully this detailed background of the one sole unwarranted negative that I have received, will.
