Come on in and sit a spell.
I started buying on ebay. Then soon realized that I needed to sell. I want to refinish my basement someday, and it's so full of stuff that you can't even find the floor to put carpet down. So I decided to start selling from there first. Hopefully accomplishing two things @ once. But the way it looks, I am going to be selling for along time. And....add the fact that I love to shop, I think I will be with ebay forever.Smile makes people wonder what your up to. ;)
So far, I have meet a lot of people along the way. And find each and everyone to be interesting in their own way. Some don't understand why I don't take personal checks. So I thought this would be a good place to stand on my soap box, (as my mom used to tell me I did a lot of when I was young) and tell, all that want to know why I don't take them. It's not anything personal with anyone that I won't take their personal checks. It's just to great a risk for me. As stated in my auctions, I won take money orders from any place but the post office. Most people don know that money orders are the same as a check from supermarkets, gas stations etc. They have to be deposited into your bank and they can bounce just like a check. They can also be reported stolen. Either way, the seller is screwed. This does not happen with a postal money order as long as it is cashed at the post office. They have a list of bad numbers to check the money order against and they have the light to run it under. Now if you take a postal money order and deposit it in your bank, it can bounce. We all just want to cover our behinds, for a nice way of putting it. I used to ship international. What a headache that was. If you are international, please don write me and ask if I will make an exception just for you. You are special but, not that special. I can not take paypal from internationals. You can not be verified at the present time with paypal and honestly it is a hassle just to fill out the paperwork at the post office. Canada is the only place at this time that can send an international money order. If there is ever a problem, it is usually because someone didn't read my shipping instructions. I feel bad when that happens, but I can only list them and hope you read them. I also try to remember that everyone is human and as humans we are going to make mistakes. I no I am not perfect. And I will make mistakes. But I will own up to them and admit if I am wrong. I believe that honesty is the only way to go. If you can't be honest with a customer, then you aren't honest with yourself. That not only hurts them, but it doesn't make you feel good either. Even though it may hurt to have to admit something to someone at the beginning, it's worth it in the end. I do hope that you find my things interesting and at a fair price. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. Now if you will excuse me, I am going to get off my soap box. It's killing my feet. lol Now that all that is said and done, lets bid and be happy.
