Nibs & Needles

Hi,  my name is Melvin Sumray. My ebay shop is Nibs & Needles and I'm based in Norwich, Norfolk, NR6 7DR.  I primarily deal in Sewing Machines of all makes and ages.  I particularly seek out Antique Machines like the Jones Serpentine for example.  Checkout my ebay shop nibsandneedles. I have just over 400 items for you to view and I'm adding all the time. I have Sewing Machines, Sewing Machine Manuals, Accessories, Spare Parts for Sewing Machines, Sewing Machine Motors, Foot Controls (both of which are in the same category under Motors)and Gramaphone Needle Tins. 

As I'm sure you will realise from the name I trade under, I am also interested in Records, Gramaphones and Fountain Pens.  All of which I obtain from time to time by going to auctions, which is one of my pastimes now that I am retired.  I'm not quite sure what that is supposed to mean.  I seem to be more active now than when I ran my own Printing business.

My main hobby, since retiring, is model engineering and to this end, I have built up an engineering workshop which includes a metal turning lathe, milling machine, pillar drill and all of the necessary measuring devices required.  I am therefore well equipped to make what I can't get, if there is no other way.

As a lot of ebayers have discovered, I can only deal honestly.  I was very flattered to be informed by ebay that several people have me on their fravourites list.  I'm not sure if that is as a target or 'cause they like what I sell!!  I hope it's the latter. 

With sewing machines especially, I like them to arrive with you in the same working and asthetic condition that they left me.  I never 'tart-up' machines, I just make sure that they are not filthy and are serviced and checked electrically before they go on auction or in my shop.  I am also very fussy about the way they are packed.  I know that even were they to be left out in the rain before you get your parcel,  everything inside will be fine.  I pack everything myself, so I know that it will reach you the way I want you to have what is after all, a new prized posession.A look at my feed back will verify that.

Because of the number of machines that I get that are not worth repairing, I have built up a stock of useful quality original parts.  Please contact me with your requirements through the Ask the Seller link and if I don't have what you are looking for already listed, I'll see if I have it and list it for you and let you know the item number.  This also applies to Sewing Machine Manuals.
