I believe a great many people are not receiving the full benefits they can from their photos.  The good news is that almost everyone has some favorite photo or photos that can be made better than it currently is, even into a remarkable photo.  The sad bad news is most of your photos are in the process of decaying—some more than others.

The problem is that when you view your photos it is difficult to note that they are gradually fading away since they make small subtle changes daily.  Photos printed in the 20th century did not have the benefit of today’s high quality archival quality photo print papers, and even today, not all photo print paper is equal quality.  Serious photo decay can come from things, such as, mold (not good for photos and not good for most humans either), mildew, stains, water damage, fingerprints (especially from fingers with lotions on them), tears, scratches, marks, photo paper decay, and more.  For Consumers the best way to archive your photos is to have them appropriately made into high density digital files stored safely on an archival quality photo data CD or DVD at 300 or more pixels (dots) per square inch. 

In addition, fading, decaying, deterioration, which require prompt photo restoration and preservation--when you view your photos what improvements would you like to see?  Some would like to look ten years younger in their photos.  Some would like to look a few pounds thinner in their photos.  Some would like to have their braces removed in their photos.  Some would like to have their facial blemishes, scars, birthmarks, and other distractions eliminated.  Some would just like to have their skin smoothed to give their photos a movie-star like glamour.

Now is really a great time get your photos fixed.

About Me

If you are interested in how I developed my interest in photography here it is.  In my seventh grade photography class I was first exposed to taking photographs and developing and printing and enlarging them in the film darkroom.  When I was a senior in high school I work in the top rated photography studio in town where I learned about hand retouching negatives and prints.  In the 1960s I starting doing my own people and event photography and in the 1970s I began professionally photographing events, weddings, portraits, and some commercial photography.  My first digital camera was a Sony Mavica that saved the photo images on a 3 ½ inch floppy drive.  After that I soon learned the advantages of doing much more than what I did in the darkroom on my computer and advanced into using what many believe is the standard in photo editing software Photoshop and its many add-ins.  Photoshop is truly a powerful software program and as such there is a great amount to learn to use it to its full capacity.  Anyone can purchase the software and with great instruction and a few years of “trial and success” learn how to master it.  However, some prefer to have someone like me help them make their favorite photos better and not get involved with some of the highly technical and math related challenges.
