A Thoroughly Modern Gal!
ABOUT US!
Welcome to our Ebay About Us page! We are a mother and daughter partnership with a website we designed and continue to maintain ourselves, called Retro Redheads. Up until now, we both worked at full time jobs - but one of us has left the office world to devote full time to Retro Redheads, both on our website and with Ebay auctions - and our new Ebay Store! Barb is a grandmother of 8 and Bonnie the mother of two beautiful blonde-haired children - we live in the Boston and Boston North area and have a large extended family that we enjoy spending time with. Bonnie enjoys gardening and collecting wonderful vintage children's books. Barb is a long-time Trek fan and Lord of The Rings fan - even spending 3 weeks in New Zealand visiting the Rings film sites and attending the Red Carpet for Return of The King in Wellington, NZ! Barb also particularly enjoys celtic folk music, like The Old Blind Dogs.

A LITTLE RETRO REDHEADS HISTORY
We began our business around 1993 by doing local antiques shows and placing some of our items in local group shops just for the fun of it - and we did have a lot of fun doing the shows and met some really great people! Back then we were known as Redhead Antiques. In 1995, the very early days of Ebay, we ventured forth with a new idea: a website where we would show our wares catalogue-style. This needed a new name and logo, and Retro Redheads - An On-Line Catalogue of Vintage Housewares For The Modern Gal & Dapper Guy - was born!
At first we specialized only in vintage kitchen glass, but over the last years we have expanded to 20th century dinnerware, vintage household items, and last year we began offering both vintage and vintage-style linens - we are very excited about this new aspect of our business! We expanded again and now offer high-quality retro style housewares - some really fantastic items that we have been lucky enough to find! Along the way we have been fortunate in attracting the attention of local and national media: Country Home Magazine, Oxygen Networks She Commerce, Boston Phoenix' Stuff at Night Hot 100 with a full page article on us; New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, The Washington Post, The Chicago Tribune, Country Living, Old-House Interiors and many others.
First and foremost, we have had fun with all of it! We like to think of shopping at Retro Redheads as browsing through time!
