Welcome! and Thank you for your interest. Here at RetroFit Costumers(tm) we create and construct quality costumes, re-enactment garb, custom clothing, bridal gowns and formals, as well as our own original designs, for all occasions.
Over the last 6 months, we have taken a turn into the world of dolls and doll collectors that was motivated by the cutie you see in the pictures. My mother passed away 10 years ago and I have been carrying a group of storage boxes she left to me from place to place. They went through three moves and 2 houses before I actually opened them up. What a treasure waited inside!
These dolls have blessed us not only with new friends, but they have allowed me to continue to stay home and educate my children. My deepest thanks to all of you in the doll collecting community that have given me good feedback and added to my knowledge.
The Retrofit Costumers(tm) name refers to our unique way of giving new life to garments that are loved, but perhaps damaged or out of fashion or wrongly sized (if not all of the above). Whether a vintage find that needs TLC or your old prom-dress, let us help give the I just can't give this up item in your closet an upgrade. It's not just a great way to save the clothes you love, it's recycling!
We believe that your garment should feel as good as it looks inside and out. We do not engage in mass production of items from commercial patterns. We do draft our own patterns to provide you with a personalized result.
Retrofit Costumers(tm) is accepting custom work on a limited basis. If you have questions about these services or our pricing, send us an inquiry. We are happy to provide information and photos of past projects for interested parties.
