About Retroprof


I am a retired educator, a researcher and a very happy wife, mother and grandmother.  My educational background includes 42 years of teaching at various levels.  These experiences include: one-room school, the kindergarten, preschool,  middle school, reading supervisor and 14 years of teacher education at the university level.  My research interests are in homeschooling, best practice in education and I specialize in literacy and language learning. I have 10 lively grandchildren, many of whom share my interests.  My husband and I are active volunteers with USAID ( Africa literacy program) and as Wycliffe Associates.

I have recently retired from university teaching and have about 4000 books to sell.  Many of these are academic books concerned with literacy learning and best practice teaching but most of them are children's and young adult literature books that I used while teaching courses in the subject. 

My avocations include reading, study of the natural environment, music performance and cooking!  Occasionally I may share some items from collections reated to my hobbies.
