Hi Everybody!

Thanks for visiting my "About Me" page.

My name is Raymond Gooch. I live in Dayton, OH, but I am a transplant from the hills of East Tennessee.

My income and much of my peace of mind comes from being a Leather Craftsman. The name of my company is Mystic Leather( www.MysticLeather.net ) .  I make a wide variety of items including belts, guitar straps, wrist bands, medicine pouches, bow quivers, portfolios, business accessories, etc. Special orders for custom items are always welcome since everything is hand crafted.

I began leatherworking in East Tennessee during the late 70's. I was fortunate enough to be taught by a friend and former Tandy Leather store manager. We went into business together for a few years making mostly belts for our retail shop and for wholesale customers.

That partnership ended many years ago and currnetly, I work alone. I'm a member of the International Internet Leather Guild (IILG), a professional association of leather artisans. This group's mission it to promote the art and the craft of leatherwork.

PS     As you can see by my picture, I'm a musician in my spare time. Guitar is my second intrument. It's much easier to carry around than a piano. Twenty-six years of marriage with the most wonderful woman in the world has been one of the four greatest blessings in my life. The other three are our children.
