I've
been creating poetry and artwork for the last 10 years from
painting with oils and water-colors to working with pen, ink,
and colored pencil in addition to several other forms of non-traditional
media. Within the last 5 years I've been exploring the concept
of ATCs, ACEOs and miniatures. I currently have several ATC/ACEO
projects that I'm working on including Cocktails, Paper
Dolls, and Abstract Geometry. One of my favorites
is the Abstract Geometry series, which was inspired
by artists such as Frank Lloyd Wright and Joan Miro. This
is an ongoing series and I'm currently working on several
new pieces to add. I refer to the artwork in this series as
Abstract Geometry because I have always been attracted
to shapes, symmetry and the relationship between random objects
and lines that come together to form complex structures. I
typically have no set idea before I begin a piece. For me
the creation of my works is a meditative process and the creations
seem to build themselves as I go, hence the term Abstract
Geometry.
This series is a core theme in my work and remnants of the
Abstract Geometry can certainly be seen throughout
all of my ATCs and ACEOs.
Each
piece is a unique work of art created by me with the hopes
that it will bring enjoyment and a little magic to those who
view and collect them. I hope that you will enjoy the works
and your view of the world through my eyes.
