ABOUT THE ARTIST
A native Oregonian, Rachel is a third generation beach-comber and clam digger, with sand is in her hair and salt in her blood. Her first photographs were of childhood mud-pies decorated with sticks and other treasures. Her first drawings were with "chalk rocks" gathered from the cove, with which she made images on the sidewalk for passerbys. Her love of art continued to grow as she grew and included not only painting and drawing, but graphic design and book layout in which she excelled. Her first exhibition was in 1994.
Rachel has been in numerous local art shows. From her studio she has sent works to collectors nationwide, from New York, and PA, to Washington and Oregon. She and has two pieces in a Hair Salon in New Jersy, and a few in a Virginia office.
