A little history and info about us

Hello fellow rock hounds, As you may or may know we specialize in Ammolite the alberta gemstone. Read on if you would like to know more about us and the beauitful gemstone Ammolite.

What is Ammolite ?

Over 70 million years ago lived a creature called Ammonite. They were round like "kind of like a snall". Their found all over the world BUT ONLY in alberta can they be found with this gemstone that covers their shells. Its because of the soil content that the shells change colour. Ammonites are found with the colours red, orange, purple, blue, and green. Blue and purple being the rarest of all, Some day people all over the world will see that ammolite is rarer then alexanderite. Their are not very many people that know about the gemstone, but someday soon people all over the world will see just how rare this gemstone really is.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US ! We have been cutting ammolite for the past 5 years now, all of our material comes from the black horse mine in leftbridge, alberta. Their are very few people that know how to work with this stone because if you don't cut it right you will destory the stone. At any given time we have over 150 to 200 stones on hand. We have free forms which are cut stones that come in many shapes and sizes, we also make cabs which we have about 50 to 150 on hand all the time. We can fill big orders and can ship world wides.
