Every effort is made to grade accurately, unbiasedly, using a combination of the written Overstreet grading guidelines, and the more nebulous CGC visual unpublished standards. While we don't guarantee the grade, our goal and efforts are put towards providing the buyer with a raw comic that will perform very well for them, and be returned similarly graded from one of the grading services. To this end, we have been extremely successful.

Each unrestored raw comic offered is so painstakingly examined for any signs of restoration and repair that we can make a restoration guarantee that is absolutely unique on eBay among sellers of unrestored raw comics.

Each restored raw comic offered is also painstakingly examined so that full disclosure can be made on any and all restoration present on the comic, each procedure carefully mentioned in the description.

If one of our unrestored listings is returned from a grading service with anything but a blue label, that is, returned restored or qualified, without being disclosed as such, we assume all financial responsibility for the buyer's purchase;

If a comic listed as restored has more work on it than mentioned in the listing (color touch, pieces, trim, reinforcing, etc.), the entire amount of out of pocket expense incurred by our buyer for that item is reimbursed.

When we do list a professionally graded item, we will comment on our opinion of the comic in the slab if it differs from the grade on the label, hopefully as an aide to assist you in your bids.

A word about buying a restored comic:

Along with all of our guaranteed unrestored listings, Robojo offers the finest selection of very minimally restored comics. These are listed with the designation "Appt." before the grade, short for "apparent".

Apparent is the industry designation for a restored comic and when combined with the grade, stands for the overall apparent condition of the comic after the restoration. Since in all cases, we didn't see the comic before the restoration was performed, a best guess is made as to what the original grade of the comic might have been prior to the restoration and "after repair" apparent grade.

A comic listed as restored, will have restoration:

We do not guarantee that a comic is unrestored when it is clearly listed as restored and the restoration is identified and disclosed in the listing's description. Logically, listings for an apparent, or restored comic will not include our all inclusive guarantee that it is not restored. However, it will be guaranteed to have all of the restoration procedures performed on the comic mentioned. All work detected will be faithfully disclosed, and if we're wrong, we will reimburse you fully as explained above.

Please be aware that if you bid and win a comic that is listed as apparent, all restoration will be disclosed, as is customary in the description section, and the comic you receive will be restored. As it was listed. We do not guarantee that a comic listed as restored will be unrestored. We guarantee that it will have full disclosure on the work that is present or we'll pay the freight.
