Let me inform you about who I am in this vast world of Rockhounds. I specialize in Oregon Thundereggs as you can tell by my website www.oregonthundereggs.com and other fine Oregon Materials. In my past 16 years experience I have cut thousands upon thousands of these unique formations and have around 200 rare and unique eggs in my personal collection. I consider my collection a rotating collection, reason I say this is while cutting, if I find a better specimen for my personal collection I will sell off my old one. So always watch for great deals I'll throw out.
Story about who I am and my history
Hello and let me start by saying welcome to Hinkle's Rock Shop. My name is Jason and I am the owner behind this small business. I am located in Oregon and have lived here all my life. I am now 29 years old and have been bitten by the rock bug for 16 years now.
It all started years ago when I first got interested in gold prospecting, Most all the books I read about gold always had something associated with rocks. Things just progressed from there and eventually I found out how great this hobby was.
I found out a relative of mine was also a rockhound and he invited me to come down and see his shop which I took up his offer and boy was I ever amazed!. He gave me my first tumbler that I used for many years and about a year or so after I met him I purchased my first rock saw. So as the story goes.. Years passed and I became more in depth into this rockhounding. Then a few years ago I started a small rock shop off the house to somewhat sell these polished stones I have worked throughout the years and filled the shelved with. My main line of sales is my website and Ebay.
Most of my knowledge has been self taught, or learned from the experience of the old time rockhound who have years and years of information! I am pleased to have my girlfriends help with things around the shop, Without her help, things would be hectic ;-). Ebay has been great to me and I love every minute of it. My goal is customer satisfaction and I strive for 100% ebay feedback. I appreciate the people who view my auctions and I Thank the people you have made purchases and helped my small business grow!
Praise: Pretty coloration for obsidian!!! Highly recommended!!!
