Travel Loving Retired Teacher


Hi there...my page title pretty much describes where I am in my life right now.  Hubby & I retired in June 2008 after teaching high school for 35 years.  We actually retired while we still loved what we were doing.  We've always loved to travel, so retirement has allowed us to kick that up a notch. 

I've been buying and selling on Ebay for years.  I first started out just buying.  I loved the fact that I could find favorite brands that were sometimes no longer made...I  loved the fact that my clothing was unique, and it didn't come off of a rounder with duplicates of the same item in various sizes.  I have fought my weight for years...finally conquering it about 2 years ago.  I've managed to keep 65 pounds off and I have sold a lot of my wonderful items of clothing on E-Bay while replacing with smaller sizes also using E-Bay.  I have been a Power Seller off and on for years.  Traveling and being away from my computer and not able to list and sell as many things from time to time affects that standing.  So, if I am no longer listed as a Power Seller, that is why...simply failing to list and sell the required dollar amount.    As much as I love and value being a Power Seller, I'm not willing to always work that hard.  In fact...listing on E-Bay is fun for me and I will continue to do this as long as it remains fun. (Really the ONLY thing I have had to make peace with is that there are some people who just aren't happy and there is no pleasing them...usually this type buyer has left disgruntled type feedback for numerous items and buyers.   At first, when I got a neutral or worse, it would literally hurt my feelings, as I felt I had worked so hard to make the transaction good...then I came to grips with the fact that you can please the majority of the people EVERY time, and a few people you can NEVER please!) I have met the coolest people while doing this.   The majority of the buyers and sellers are fabulous people!  Thanks for reading "my story"!
