We are a 501(3)c nonprofit
organization which is run entirely by volunteers dedicated to the rescue
of unwanted, neglected, and abandoned boxers. We are always in need of
qualified homes for life for our dogs, transportation, foster care, monetary
donations for veterinary care, high-quality dog food and other supplies.
Boxers come to us from shelters, as strays, and owner surrenders because
of death, divorce, or relocation. They are housed by foster homes where
they are temperament tested and seen by a veterinarian for shots, heartworm
testing, and spay or neuter.
This store is dedicated to helping raise
funds to carry out this mission to save as many boxers as we can.

How
Rescue Works
Boxers are in need of rescue,
just like all other breeds. Some of our boxer are owner surrenders: that
means that for some reason the current owners are unable or unwilling to
keep their pets and turn them over to rescue. Some times it is because
of divorce - both people are moving into apartments and neither can keep
their boxer. Sometimes people move to another area or another home and
either can't or won't keep their pets. Sadly, some are surrendered due
to the owner's death. Many are rescued from various shelters, humane societies
and all breed rescues. Occasionally we are contacted to pick up a boxer
that has been found as a stray. So boxers come to us for a wide variety
of reasons and from many different sources.
When we bring a boxer into our program
it is taken to a veterinarian and given a complete examination, heartworm
test (and treated if necessary) and vaccinated as needed. If the boxer
has not been altered, it is spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
We do everything possible to ensure
that you will adopt a healthy boxer. If there are ongoing medical conditions,
we will inform you prior to the adoption and will be available for consults
to assist you in caring for your boxer.
We do our best to place our dogs in
"forever homes" but when you adopt a boxer from us you sign a contract
that REQUIRES you return the dog to us, it cannot be sold or given away.

with the generous donation of time from our volunteers, we prefer
payment to be made either with Paypal or with Billpoint.

Media mail is used to save on shipping costs for books.
