Strawhat Antiques and Collectables Tells All Wished I could write "Harvard Class of 57" been on stage for 40 years-former model-dancer-written several books! but I can't!! Love my life! Love Antiques and things! Love ebay and how it gives me a chance to Buy & Sell! Been active in buying and selling 45 Yr. My story goes like this 45 years ago I was looking to find the most patience man around! Well I found him and we have 5 wonderful children. My oldest is in heaven, died of cancer at 27, he always enjoyed hearing about my findings and the hunt!!! So now I have 4 great children, one wonderful daughter-in-law, 2 loving son-in-laws, 2 grandson's Jacob and Wesley, and 1 little granddaughter " Maddie-Rose, infact when she was born this July, they had to come to Brimfield to get me. Brimfield a wk long  "Outdoor Antique Show" Well now I have told you about the things I haven't done and about the family. So now I will share a little about me and my love of this business!!! It started 45 yr ago, when my husband came home from work to find all or most of the wedding presents out on front lawn I was having a "Yard Sale". The couple across the street did not speak and they could not hear! Used sign language! Well they bought my rocking chair and coffee table, a few lamps!!! Bill, my husband had trouble persuading them that I shouldn't have sold them. That was the first challange of this business! From there I went to anybody who was getting rid of things I knew I could use them!! "Collection Began & Clutter Started" From their it went Salvation Army to Church Sales to Garage Sales this went on for 20 years and I loved it!!!! This called for a 4 bedroom house, double garage, full basement,full attic and all was stuffed to the gills! But I loved it! Then it was time to get into group shops and did I have fun!!! A whole inventory to pick from and things were good!!! I loved It!!. Now we are in the 90's I am in 5 group shops, and starting to do flea markets! Group shops! Antique Shows! I loved it!!!  Husband is getting ready to retire from Government, but he is too young, and we have 4 children in college, We must move and locate to another area!   We can do it and we did!!! Must get storage space, we just have to much!!!  Five more years of shows, flea and group shops. But I loved it!!! Opps! Time to move and retire, moved to Cape Cod, More storage!!  Now I am beginning to hear alot about Ebay!!!!  BUT I AM Not SMART ENOUGH!!!! to learn ebay!!!! I MUST! I MUST!
