Welcome and Thanks for Visiting I've been working on Bridgeport Boss CNC's for ten years. In that time I've learned many things about them in regards to communication. I'm offering my products to save fellow machine shop owners and managers time and money. Cable Basics Basically, I make cables that will plug into the serial port of a desktop or laptop computer and hook directly to the wires from the Communications board of the CNC. This is done by installing a new 9 pin serial port on the machine. The one thing that I've come to understand about the round plastic ports is that they are not trustworthy. I can count how many times I've been asked if my cable replaces that "Dumb" black plug. The new wires are connected to the communications board from there. Because I use the wires from old dead machines, there is ABSOLUTLY no confusion as where they go because they are the same color. No confusion as to "Does red go to blue or green or maybe to purple?". I really made this kit as easy to install as possible. I know how valuble your time is. I also know that every shop is different and has different needs and comfort levels. Some machine owners don't want to cut or drill into their machines and I understand that. I am more than willing to do my best to satisfy everyones different ideas on how to enter the machine. Most of the time I can make a special cable to meet your needs.
