I am so Honored and Privileged to be able to share my Discoveries and Art with Friends all over the World! Imagine, I have shipped my Art to Japan! It's such a joy creating in my Studio! I recently planted a field of Angel Daisy and Lavender at the Entrance to the Studio, as I enter each morning and Brush against the Lavender the Delightful Aroma is so wonderful that no Matter my Pace I have to stop and enjoy this delightful experience. In the Early Evening the Bumble Bees and Hummingbirds perform a Ballet that is a Privilege to Witness. I am forever Bringing home a Treasure for the Garden, most recently an Ice Cream for a planter near the front door. Seems others enjoy my discoveries, as our garden has won several awards and been featured in our local paper. In this beautiful setting my Creativity just soars. I am blessed with my many artistic talents that include painting, hand built ceramics, and mosaics. Several of my Ceramics have been in traveling art shows, and group exhibitions. I've been selected for Several Art Commissions that include a fireplace mantel restoration in historic Plant Hall, Design of Event Logo for Greenfest, and Mural Restoration in one of the areas historic buildings. Most recently I designed and executed a Mosaic Kitchen Backsplash. One of the many things I love about Mosaics is retrieving the discarded and creating such Beauty. My Signature look and Original Design in my mosaic work is the inclusion of Vintage Jewelry, Buttons, and Rhinestones. Born from a Commission for a Special Mirror. I can just picture those colorful gems of the day attending bridge club, garden club, and cocktail parties! These Treasures really make the mosaic pieces sing! The Shards,” mosaic Pieces" are adapted from rescued bowls, plates and cups. One can only imagine the great conversations and laughs that engulfed the dinnerware during that last great party or intimate Gathering! Thus he name Broken Memories! I love to include "non-traditional" mosaic tessera such as stained glass,marbles,vases,and any other little gem to give my work that Shabby/Cottage look. I Create Custom blended grout Colors to complement the form and Mosaic Colors. Each Piece followed by a water repellent sealer. Words escape me in describing the joy I have in creating each Piece.
