Ebay is great fun! It is so cool to find exactly what you want and have it shipped to your door, from your fingertips! I began Ebaying when my kids were younger, found them some cds and video games for their collections. I also found myself a great pair of running shoes. My big dog, Kodi Sue and I run several miles a week. (hence my ebay user name) Selling became my hobby when I needed to sell the boat to pay for my daughters college tuition. Learning the sales ropes was started by first cleaning out my drawers and selling a couple of pair of Levi's and some no longer used rubber stamps to some really lucky buyers! They were great jeans and great stamps! It all snow-balled from there.
Now I am fortunate enough to sell great items that my friends, family or neighbors want to get rid of after cleaning out their attics, basements, garages or stuffed full closets. My 87 year old mother loves to hear what state something goes to. She always asks, where is that going? It's a small world, recently a friend of one of her cousins bought a U.P. Michigan item, unbeknowst to either of us, until I said; "say ya to da U.P., eh?"...My 87 year old father has passed on some gems for to sell and he absolutely loves to read the letters from very interesting buyers. Such as the 74 year old who used his vintage soldering iron rods to work with.
I have shipped to the Netherlands, Canada, Germany and Australia. As well as just about every state in the U.S.A.!!! I love to pass on stuff that is made in the U.S.A.!!! How cool is that? It is great fun for me to see who wants what and what goes where! There are collectors of everything out there.
I describe my items down to the last measurement and include every possible detail.
I also learn something new everyday... Thanks to a recent buyer, sadly disappointed I might add, I have learned how to test Bakelite. (WD40 on a swab, if it turns yellow, it is bakelite) Running it under hot water, it will emit an awful smell and the clunk test, tap it gently on a table edge, it should 'clunk' not 'clink' like plastic. Thanks Elizabeth.
I am amicable to work with, however should any purchase be unsatisfactory, just contact me in the unlikely event of something gone wrong. I have also found you cannot please everyone, but I try! There have been a few unfair negative feedbacks in the past from buyers who never even notified me that they had a problem. That is just wrong...I should be informed so that I know an issue needs to be dealt with!
I love quotes and inspirational blurbs. If you have any fun or interesting quotes, email them to me. I find it imperitive to communicate via email with my customers. I confirm payment and shipment and appreciate confirmation of item arrival and feedback! I love feedback! I leave feedback immediately upon receiving payment as is the spirit of ebay, when your end of the sale is complete you get feedback. Simple as that. I love getting feedback as well! (when my end of the bargain is accomplished I like to see a satisfied buyers words!)
I take pride in my feedback rating, and will do my best to ensure buyer satisfaction. Refunds will be granted only if the item you receive has been obviously misrepresented, and will not include shipping. I do describe the items I sell down the the minute detail, so there should never be any surprises in your mailbox when your item arrives! You will know exactly what you are bidding on and that you want it!
Life is good! Be well, enjoy and PEACE...
