Rustic furniture is made almost solely from objects found in nature. It therefore has caracteristics NOT common to "Store Bought" items! There will always be some unique properties inherant to ALL naturally dried wood. There could be some cracking, splitting, checking, color variation, or even old insect "Trails" due to the nature of each piece of wood & how it has interacted with the elements in nature during its lifetime. This is NOT a quality defect, but the single most element which adds to the unique beauty of each piece. Every stick or log is different, even though cut from the same tree or limb at the same time!

SHED ANTLERS are dropped & re-grown by the deer annually. We use sheds because no animals are harmed in this natural process. Shed antlers sometimes have chips or breaks from the animals fighting for a mate. They are recovered by hikers & can have some weathering such as minor cracking which doe not deter from the strength & usefullness of the antler & DOES add significantly to the caracter of each lamp! If you want "Pristine" cut-off antlers from a fresh-killed animal...we'll construct a lamp for you at minimal cost using antlers YOU clean & provide. If you want cheap imported poly-resin antler knock-offs...Thanks for stopping by BUT you are in the wrong place!

Rustication The act of rusticating, or the state of being rusticated; Rusticity The state or quality of being rustic; rural character or life.

As the world becomes more and more prepackaged and sterile, the need for Rustic Furniture Makers who bring nature back into the heart and home grows.

Unfortunately, a few rotten apples force us to stipulate some very basic & elemental rules for our auctions (most of which are common sense or at least common courtesy).

PAYMENTS:

We accept Paypal payments with CONFIRMED shipping address. We no longer accept money orders & bank issued/cashiers checks due to changes in Ebay policy.
Paypal e-CHECKS must clear prior to shipping (usually 7-10 business days....allowing for frequent issues with Paypal notifications).

SHIPPING:

We will ship your item within 5 BUSINESS days of recieving your CLEARED payment. Watch your "My Ebay" page as items will be marked as shipped after they are delivered to UPS or USPS. Emails requesting shipping status only delay other customers packages! We pack or crate well from years of shipping experience but sometimes accidents do happen. In the event of damage, please contact us or the shipping carrier that delivered your package immediately. We can do nothing to assist you until a claim with them is filed(they are the responsible party for your item from the time they received it until they deliver it to you). We will provide whatever necessary documentation is required to facilitate your claim for loss or damage. Please do not post feedback for us regarding shipping damage, we didn't break it! If your item was shipped U S Mail & you opted out of optional insurance, there is really no recourse available to you.

RATES: Lamps ship in OVERSIZE cartons for safety...that means UPS approximately doubles our shipping cost comparative to a "Normal" size box. We do this for the protection of YOUR item & seldom pay less than what YOU pay!!

US Mail Priority rates for our flat rate boxes are set by the post office...NOT US!! Please do not whine about postal rates...vote for a more efficient government instead!! THAT can make a difference...We can't do anything but pay what they charge us(which is what we charge you with NO markup!!).

YOU CAN AVOID POTENTIAL ISSUES BY READING DESCRIPTIONS, CHECKING PHOTOS, & ASKING QUESTIONS!

Please do not attempt to hold us responsible for what you do not read!

Due to new Ebay policies regarding search placement & exposure relative to feedback & Detailed Seller ratings 1 bad rating can cost us hundreds of dollars in potential income. Therefore we must insist that you contact us BEFORE leaving anything other than POSITIVE feedback & 5 point (star) DS ratings so we can have an opportunity to resolve any issues.
We have had to take legal action twice in the last year due to feedback left by 1) someone who had no clue what they were doing & 2) someone who refused a full refund & left feedback while ADMITTEDLY intoxicated!
Ebay will not remove feedback without a COURT ORDER!! We don't want to go there!!
We MUST protect our reputation from this type of thoughtless troublemakers & will do so agressively!

Most issues can be avoided in advance by reading the description, terms, & conditions of the auction & not adding anything between the lines of copy or not pictured in the photos!
