Myself:
Creating art has been my passion for nearly 30 years. I attended art classes throughout my youth and for three years at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. As I collected and read hundreds and hundreds of art and art instruction books, my paintings gradually changed from representational to more and more abstract and experimental works. Presently, hundreds of my paintings can be found in collections across America. My current website can be found at www.ruthking.com .
My work:
My paintings are each one-of-a-kind, hand-painted, originals. The paintings on stretched canvas "wrap" to the back, meaning that the image on the front also continues around the four sides. Works painted this way can be hung without a frame. My paper paintings are created on heavy acid-free paper. Each painting is signed on the back and can be signed on the front. Buyer can specify orientation if front-signing is desired (print out a copy of the picture and rotate it to choose the orientation). A certificate of authenticity is included with each painting.
