I spent most of my secondary education in the art room. Any spare time that I had I was drawing, painting, or sculpting. Not much has changed over the years. After high school I went off to college, gave it a shot and decided that I wasn't quite ready yet. I then took off for the Bering Sea to become a commercial fisherman.  I was 19 years old and had never flown in an airplane or seen an ocean let alone step foot on a boat! Needless to say, I found a new love for life. The freedom of being out at sea, not seeing land for days was somehow liberating for me.The motion of the boat on water, the crashing of waves, the seagulls...A euphoria that is unexplainable to those who have never experienced it. I fished a little over five years. By this time I felt I was ready to achieve that degree and I knew it was art that I wanted to pursue. I wanted to know everything there was to know. And so began the rebirth of my art.

 While achieveing my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. It was there that I fell in love with sculpture and photography. When I returned home, I was lucky enough to work in a black and white photography lab for three years while I finished up school.

 I decided to start painting and sculpting full time I paint original abstract paintings on canvas using a brush and palette knife. I work mostly in oils, but am branching out with acrylics and mixed medias. I have been creating new works everyday, exhibiting in solo and group shows, and selling online.
