Welcome to My Me Page Welcome to Samplers Country Collectibles. I have been in the Primitive Gift Industry for 18 years. Unlike so many of you out there I am not a self taught artist. I give credit to my mother and my grandmother for whom without I would not have ventured down this long and wonderful road. Having grown up on a Vermont farm my mother was able to pass her everyday knowledge on to me. My grandmother was the daughter of a Canadian mercantile owner and her vast knowledge of the dry-goods industry from food to textiles was extensive. Needless to say I have been very blessed. I have been selling wholesale since 1990 when my dear friend "Suzanne" approached me to sell on a larger scale. I had no idea what I was getting myself in to but it has been one heck of a ride. I will never be able to thank her enough. Not only did she get me started in this business but when she closed her wholesale company a few years ago she became my trade show traveler. I have exhibited in wholesale trade shows from Los Angeles to Boston and am represented from Seattle to Atlanta. I currently exhibit my line in Pennsylvania twice a year which keeps me very busy. I am very excited to say I have met some wonderful people on ebay as well as keeping in touch with some of my fellow wholesale manufacturers that I am only able to visit with twice a year. The items I offer on ebay are generally one of a kinds and this has given me an opportunity to make a few things on a much smaller scale that I have not been able to do in a long time. I am also fortunate enough to be part of a paper company that my dear friend Netty Lacroix asked to start with her. We are truly having a great time and I am very thankful for her kindness.
