This e bay shop was originally created by my partner to clear out some space at home as he has collected anything old and interesting for at least 20 years via a combination of auctions, antique fairs and car boot sales and after years of constructive criticism (AKA nagging!) one of my daughters and I have taken over his e bay ID as due to work commitments he has ran out of time and is unable to list items quickly enough.

I dread to think how much he has spent on these over the years however have a good idea and to be fair he has cut down on his buying significantly and now only attends a handful of antique fairs per annum and we are eventually clearing out more space than he is filling.

Now our children are getting older I was looking forward to more spare time as I have spent the last 16 years looking after our 3 children but at least this will keep me occupied however the local cafe may complain although I can still meet my friends after my daily trek to the Post Office but now can only have the one coffee.

As a result of a change in the way e bay charge listing fees I have had to set this e bay account up as a Business user as the monthly fees have increased significantly since the 24 September 2008 and it is no longer sensible to list items under £10 as the charges have increased from 3P to 20P per month and the basic fee from £6 to £15 which is crazy and are still really a private seller.

The plan is to continue as before and try to list as much as possible at a fixed price as this is easier for me and when my daughter prices items she strives to be the lowest e bay shop seller, without giving things away and this strategy has worked well as you will see from our feedback.

Due to the volume of items listed we do occasionally make mistakes and before leavingneutral or negative feedback if you do have a problem please drop me a note and I always sort out problems with faulty or missing items quickly as have started to get a certificate of posting from Royal Mail as we have had a few problems with post over recent months and my partner previously did not make a claim against Royal Mail due to the hassle and time.

My partner is still planning to sell some of his collection via a combination of this shop and e bay auctions, which will ensure we should have an ever changing and diverse selection of items from computer games, books, toys, clothes, sporting memorabilia etc and you would be amazed if you could see the amount of bits we have to clear out and I am looking forward to using any cash raised to invest in my own and daughters hobby of shopping..
