First off, I would like to tell you that I collect more trains than I sell. Good for the sellers. But I have been known to buy duplicates of the same item. I guess it is the thrill of the auction.
Most of the things that I sell are from my late fathers estate. I have been selling a lot of reloading stuff. Lately though, I have been shifting to almost anything. I was in the drafting business. And if you know ANYTHING about that type of work, it has been drifting to CAD (Computer Aided Drafting). I am familiar with AutoCad and Microstation drafting packages. I am still in business and do that work on the side as well as my regular 40 hour job. In other words, when I sell. It is not to put food on the table. Good thing though. I have really not concentrated enough to jump on the E-bay bandwagon full time.
TERMS
I try and pay as fast as I can. Usually through Paypal. I like Paypal. No fuss, no hassles with bounced checks. I have had cash through the mail (In my Opinion, Very Dangerous). And checks. A lot of Money Orders. But mostly through Paypal.
When I sell. I expect to be paid in 7 days. I will extend that if the bidder notifies me. If you do not, I give a non payer E-Bay response. After two weeks from the auction close, I will either offer a second chance, OR relist. This is MY OPTION. Bidder loses all rights and will be blocked from future auctions. I usually ship the next day. I have also been known to ship the same day. One bidder actually received their item the day AFTER they won it. My motto “You paid for it, you get it.”
International bidders only!!! You can ONLY use Paypal for payment. Due to currency fluctuations and other factors, you are required to pay in this method ONLY!!! Please do not send cash. I will not honor any currency other than United States Currency if you so happen to do send cash. No International checks or Money Orders.
I welcome all who are in good standing with E-Bay. If you have several negatives please do not bid! Unless I give prior permission beforehand. I welcome “Newbies”. Hey, you have to start sometimes.
I do reserve the right to sell, take off of auction, or cancel any auction without prior notice.
Feedback
If I am the buyer, I leave feedback once when I receive the item. If I have a problem with the item, I contact the seller before feedback is generated.
If I am the seller, I wait for the buyer to leave feedback. If he/she is unsatisfied, I hope they contact me before leaving negative feedback.
Generally, I will always leave positive feedback. After all, this is an auction. Pictures are the judgement and they dicate the actual condition of the item. My interpetation of the item MAY BE DIFFERENT FROM YOURS. Pictures will ALWAYS GOVERN. I do not swap out other items that I purchase. And that is why I have to say my sales are FINAL. Unless I grossley misrepresent the item I am selling, I CANNOT offer RETURNS.
There are bad eggs on E-bay. And no matter what you say, or interpet the item. There will always be people who are unhappy and will send a negative before you can even respond.
Shipping
International Shippers are limited to USPS (United States Postal Service). We find the rates to be cheaper than most other carriers.
Most of our auctions are flat rate Shipping. No surprises at the end of the auction. They reflect the fact that people use Paypal. Sometimes We offer discounts in shipping. This will be spelled out in the auctions. What we charge is from our experience. You can see that they are quite fair. Our parts auctions rates do reflect a 4x4x4 box we ship in that we prefer. Please DO NOT ask for discounts in shipping. I try and be fair with the rates and will offer breaks when the rates become excessive. I do NOT like high shipping costs. I try and keep these down as much as possible.
I am now offering a 1 year warranty on ALL of my Reconditioned Transformers.
Finally...
Remember, this is an auction. The auction spirit is trying to be generated here. Please do not expect us to be experts. We are not. It is your responsibility to ask questions. And ours to respond in a timely manner. We cannot answer questions every second. We try and get back to you within 24 hours. Please do not wait to ask your questions 2 hours BEFORE the auction closes. We cannot be expected to answer them. Do not barter the price AFTER the auction. This goes for shipping rates. You will be reported to E-Bay.
