I got started making diaper cakes after my baby shower with my daughter, back in 2007. My friend made me a diaper cake and I thought it was a very neat idea. So I started making them for friends and family. They were very popular and a lot of friends would see other neat things elsewhere and since they thought I was crafty, they would ask if I could make them (baby favors and things). It was a lot of fun but I never thought to try selling them until not too long ago. I tried a couple out and they did not sell at all. So I completely redesigned the way I was making my cakes. I made them simpler, with an adornment on each tier. I sold a couple and eventually figured out I needed something better to attract more buyers. So I thought I would give the washcloth lollipops a try. I made 7 lollipops and put the listing on eBay, selling them for $1 each, which, at the time, was the lowest price here. Well, they took off like I could have never expected! :) I still offer them for $1 each and have very low shipping costs. I have not changed to way I make them one bit, as they seem to be a hit. Everyone who sees them absolutely loves them! Recently, I have started adding new items to my inventory. When someone asks me to make them something special, I add it. Today I now make washcloth lollipops, candies, candy rolls, gumdrops, burp cloth candies, diaper cakes and wreaths in various sizes, and more. I am always open to new ideas and love making special requests. I have been honored to be able to make numerous baby showers special, in hard times, and when the giver is unable to be there in person. I spend a lot of time on everything I make, and make sure each item is perfect. Thanks all my loyal customers, I no longer have to struggle to feed my children. I am able to get them gifts on special occasions, such as birthdays and Christmas, and for that I am very grateful. I do not have many friends, but here I have found several people that I have kept in good contact with after the sale. I love hearing from you and knowing just what you think and why you chose me. I love staying up late talking to my new found friends through email, offering advice, lending an ear, and also sharing my rants and raves too. I love making the baby shower gifts and favors I make. I pretty much don't have any free time between making stuff and keeping up with my two children! It has always been my dream to be able to stay home and raise my children, rather than have them in daycare as I was when I was younger. I love to write, and I post to my blog daily. I also write how to articles for eHow. I love spending time outside, cooking on the grill, and I love cooking in my Crock Pot as well! I do love shopping on eBay as well, when I have some extra money. I always keep an eye out for good deals on the stuff I use every day, such as washcloths, craft supplies, and baby items.
