I PURCHASED COUNTERFEIT ADVANTAGE FROM A SELLER ON EBAY. I FOUND OUT WHEN I CALLED BAYER ABOUT THE SUSPICIOUS BOX THAT IT CAME IN. PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE GETTING A GOOD DEAL, WHEN REALLY THEY ARE PUTTING THEIR ANIMALS HEALTH AT RISK. THE PRODUCT THAT I PURCHASED FROM AN EBAY SELLER FAILED TO MEET 3 OUT OF THE 4 CRITERIAS UPHELD BY THE EPA, WHICH WERE:
1. Legitimate applicator tubes include the EPA Registration Number, the signal word WARNING, and the child hazard warning (Keep Out of Reach of Children). Counterfeit applicator tubes may lack this information. (MISSING ON THE ADVANTAGE I PURCHASED)
2. Legitimate applicator tubes will also include a reference statement that refers users to the main labeling for directions for use and will include the manufacturing company's name (Bayer). Counterfeit applicator tubes may lack this information. (MISSING ON THE ADVANTAGE I PURCHASED)
3. Legitimate applicator tubes will contain an active ingredient statement that agrees with the active ingredient statement on the retail carton (9.1% imidacloprid). A counterfeit product may have an active ingredient statement that differs (such as 10%). (MISSING ON THE ADVANTAGE I PURCHASED)
NOT ONLY THAT, BUT ITS NOT A US PRODUCT, THE PRODUCT COMES FROM GERMANY AND HAS THE WEIGHT ON THE BOX IN KILOGRAMS. THE BAYER REP TOLD ME IT IS ILLEGAL TO SELL ADVANTAGE THAT HAS THE WEIGHT IN KILOGRAMS AS WELL AS LACKING IMPORTANT INFORMATION SUCH AS THE EPA REGISTRATION NUMBER AND THE WORD WARNING ON THE ACTUAL TUBE.
PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELF AND OTHERS AND DON'T PUT YOUR ANIMALS AT RISK TO SAVE A FEW PENNIES.

That includes, age appropriate vaccinations, spaying/neutering, de-worming treatments, feline leukemia/FIV testing and the AVID microchip. We do not euthanize any healthy animal under any circumstances!
