I'm 100% disabled and living near my doctors and daughters in Minnesota. I like all sports and most gadgets. The device du jour for me is the Amazon Kindle. I don't have the use of my hands, and it makes reading possible again. I'd forgotten how much I loved to read until I got the Kindle. I also like to bowl on my WII. The bowling on this new Wii Sports Resort is awesome. It's 100 pins per frame, and I did record a perfect game--3000. Very exciting. I have 4 of the 5 stamps., just missing the secret strike. Thanks for looking, and I hope we can be friends.
Not your father's internet
I think the internet is changing. It is no longer just about money. Just as radio superseded print, and TV superseded radio, the internet and the WWW are certainly "the next big thing." With this in mind, we need to move past the crassly commercial and duplicitous practices of the early web and instead relate and build community based on more than commercialism. With that in mind. I have started a little written sales philosophy:
-
I will use low starting prices for auctions and never use BuyItNow. Let the market and YOU decide the value and the price.
-
I will always use free shipping. The shipping is MY problem. YOUR concern is ony the value to you.
-
I will always permit returns within a 7 day period (sometimes more), and I will pay the return shipping costs within reason. I hope we can work together on what service to use for return shipping.
-
I will typically use 5 day auctions but will go a bit higher to ensure that the item gets some weekend exposure,
-
I will always state why I am selling the item.
-
I will not flood your emai and eBay mail with distracting notifications. We can both simply check the eBay log for updated status. Use messages for when things go wrong.
