I am a retired mainframe computer field engineer that spent most of his life being a compulsive buyer of electronic surplus, scientific equipment and other eclectic items. Most of these items were for those "someday" projects. Well, I've come to the realization that many of those somedays just aren't going to happen. And now, since I am overwhelmed with tens of thousands of parts, I've decided to sell the majority of them so they can get into the hands of folks that will use them. This will allow me to simplify my life and focus on projects that are important to me.

My Selling Philosophy and Mission

Above all, I treat my customers as I want to be treated, with Respect, Honesty, and Fairly. I will make it right if I am at fault. I will understand your views and opinions and help in any way I can. NO transaction is worth more than my reputation. I strive for 100% customer satisfaction.

I make every effort to assure that every item I sell, is clearly represented by its image. I do NOT use "stock" photos. The images are always a true representation of what you are buying.

Your questions will always be replied to in a timely manner. Please understand that some questions require some research to be answered correctly. I will try to assist you in every way I can. No question is too simple.

About 'advice request'. When asking for advice, please take notice that any advice is just that - advice. Whatever you do, is strictly your responsibility. You assume ALL legal responsibility for your actions and use of anything I sell.

About my eBay Store

These items were at one time or another purchased as surplus. Most are new, a few are used. I make every effort to always give you the true, accurate and complete description and condition of every item as best as possible.

All of these surplus parts and hardware have come from military, aerospace industries, and commercial surplus.

My primary goal is to make superior quality items available to experimenters, and DIY'er, that are seeking above average parts at very reasonable prices. When I was a young man, I know how hard it was to obtain reliable parts for my projects. I know times change, but it is still difficult to find some of those "special" parts.

Please understand that the exact manufacturing origin and traceability of every item - especially hardware and parts - is not available. Therefore, if you need parts for critical applications i.e. medical, life support, etc., please obtain them from commercial dealers. You assume all risks and responsibilities for proper use and application all items you purchase from me.

What do I sell? Visit my ebay store. I focus on top quality hardware and electronic components. All my life I have been a 'Do It Yourself' person. Locating quality parts, especially in small towns, is not as easy as it may seem. I have fought that problem for years. Now I want to make the parts you need as close as your computer.

Why an eBay Store? Why now?

If you could only imagine what I've collected in my 65 years. Lots of it in the past eighteen years when I discovered government and industrial auctions! This has led to a huge basement and four 40 foot shipping containers still stacked high with an incredible amount of great experimenter items and equipment that I will just never need or use.

After selling on eBay for a few years now, I have gotten down to some items that I either have way too many of to post a few at a time, or they are items that need just the right person to purchase. These are not economically feasible to offer at the regular auction posting rates. I found that the "store" format made it possible to offer them to a wider customer base at somewhat reasonable listing fees.

Selling on ebay has not only helped me recover some of what I have invested on all these items over the years, but keeps me and my aging brain busy. As they say "use it or lose it"!

Defining what I sell

The items I sell basically fall into two categories.

• New condition - Items that have not been used BUT are not necessarily in "in the box" condition. Remember - I purchased most everything as "surplus"

• Used condition - These are items - primarily test equipment, that have been examined as described in the auction text, but are sold AS-IS.

If I can determine that an item does not work, I will tell you. Nothing is fully checked and tested in every aspect - to do so would take much more time and effort than I have. Please understand that a used item - is just that - and you may still experience some problems.

About Shipping

As far as shipping goes, I make every effort to ship promptly after payment is received. Generally, items ship within three (3) working days (M-F) of being paid.

UPDATE: I am an individual, not a big operation. The continuing upward spiral of fuel prices and my very rural location make it difficult to ship unless I have enough items to make the trip economically feasible. The Post Office does NOT make those "free pickups" they advertise, up here. They refuse to drive 3 miles up a winding mountain dirt road. Go figure. Please understand this and be assured that prompt shipping is always on my mind. If you need something 'yesterday' PLEASE ASK first before making your purchase. I will give you my best estimate of the next shipping day.

Shipping is calculated as defined by the USPS or FedExGnd rates, plus a small amount to cover the costs of packing materials. I care about how your item arrives! I have to purchase bubble wrap, packing peanuts and boxes - they are not cheap even as recycled materials!
