Welcome to my page. My name is Dr. Stephen Luke. I run this little shop on eBay. I guess we all have our own interests and these interests drive what we buy and what we sell. My greatest interest is in the Lord Jesus Christ, who took me as a broken sinner and saved me out of His great love for me. I will never be able to repay that debt, although I intend to always show my love for Christ in treating others well. That's why I chose the name "servantsteve" in the first place.

My second interest is music, I like hearing it and I like making it, too. When I started buying on eBay, I mostly just bought Christian Music. From there, I branched out to focus on the tools to play various stringed instruments. I love to play anything with strings. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm good at all of them, but I do make a joyful noise.

My favorite instrument is the mandolin and I have bought many mandolin CDs. In my instrument collection, I've got about 5 mandolins. When I started selling on eBay, I chose Mid East Manufacturing, Inc because they are a reputable family owned instrument importer and they had a wide variety of instruments I'd love to eventually play.

I started this eBay business when I was between jobs. I'm trying to keep it going while I work now that I am employed again. If you're wondering, my PhD is in Mechanical Engineering and that's the kind of work I do.

1) All people are basically sinful and cannot come to God on their own Romans 3:23- "..all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"

2) God punishes sin and the punishment for my sin (or yours) is eternal damnation.Romans 6:23"...the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"

3) God loves us and does not want us to be eternally punished. Because of His great love for us, he went ahead and paid the price for our sins by allowing His son, Jesus, to suffer in our place. Romans 5:8- "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us"

4) You must accept Jesus' offering for your sin in order to be saved. If you believe in Him and accept His free offer of salvation, you will not go to Hell, instead you will go to Heaven and spend eternity with Him. Romans 10:9-10- "...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

5) Once you are saved, you've got to try to live like a an adopted child of God because that's who you are.Romans 8:15- For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Know that your salvation can never be taken away- Romans 8:38-39- " For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Find a Bible and start reading it- the Book of John is a great place to start. Also, join a church where you can grow and learn more about Jesus and help others to grow in Him.

6) Try to convince as many people as you can to make the same decision. You don't want your friends to go to Hell when you're going to Heaven! Find a way to get them in the Kingdom, too. Matthew 28:18-20- "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."

There's plenty of room! John 14:2- "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
