SEWTIRED AT MIDNIGHT

As a prospective buyer, I love and hate Watch Lists! They allow me to wait and hope to win a last-minute bargain. They also allow me to forget an item I really wanted! Being absent-minded, I love being reminded when I've been overbid on something. As a prospective seller, I love and hate BIN. It often allows me to complete a sale without waiting all week. It also allows me to wonder if an item could have sold for a higher price! And I hate having to tell the disappointed prospective buyers who have asked "What happened to the item I had on my Watch List to bid on?" that they lost the item to someone who Bought It Now!

You will be finding lots of excesses from my sewing-room plus closet reorganization on the auctions and the agonizingly slow attic clean-out. You may find it difficult to believe, but I am not only Pretty Old, but have inherited a genetic disposition (as well as trunks, cedar chests and boxes full of feedsacks, linens, patterns, fabric, quilts and tops, etc.) from at least three generations for Pack-Ratting (I prefer to call it Collecting)! I have finally figured out that there will never be enough time to make or use everything, nor a house big enough to keep everything, although believe me, I tried my best!

A WORD ABOUT THE PRICING: For those of you who wonder why most of my prices are ridiculously low: I'm trying to price most of my items really low, mainly just wanting to get them to new homes, and realizing how high shipping costs are, hoping you can find a good bargain among my listing even WITH the shipping!

For serious crafters everywhere, every part of the year is spent not only crafting, but thinking about the next reason for making new craft projects.  By fall, I hope to be able to offer you some kits to help with your gift-making.  Primarily these will be kits for quilt projects, made from quilt-shop quality cotton fabrics, with perhaps a few stitchery kits from my own designs.

IMPORTANT SECTION!
I've noticed that some sellers say "non-smoking" environment, but few mention otherwise. I'm guessing that if a potential buyer is concerned about the smoking issue, he/she will ask. However, in the hope that everyone is curious about ME and reads this: Smokers and non-smokers come and go in my home, as well as cats, dogs, & grandchildren. Also note that many of the magazines & patterns came from my Grandma's (1901-1963) home, where Grandpa chain-smoked unfiltered cigarettes. I've been told that paper items might retain odors indefinitely. I make every attempt to launder & seal up fabrics, magazines, patterns, but have no control over the odors that some of these old items may have acquired decades ago, including musty smells, and perhaps some of the odors come from the packaging (envelopes, boxes) rather than the items inside them. Cooking goes on in here almost every day, too, so cooking fumes may be present. Oh! I wear perfume most of the time (NOT musk, though). And I grill out sometimes with the windows open. Anything I've left out? Oh yes, our area allows outdoor burning. I really do want to cover everything, I do!
