Welcome and Thank you for taking time to find out who is behind all those beads! As always, I love hearing from you, your ideas, your pets! the joys and heartaches. It's by supporting each other that we get stronger and happier. Your emails have been a wonderful source of inspiration, and ideas. And to a few, lasting friendships. I am the PROUD Mom of two beautiful daughters, have been married for over 20 years, and have a very open mind. My oldest is in the US Army, in basic training right now. And my youngest is into FFA, and is thinking about the Air Force. Please support our troops in anyway possible.
I have the best of both worlds. I am a Weekend Nurse on an end stage dementia unit. Which can be a bit crazy at times, but to be very honest, I love my job. Most of the time all it takes is a simple smile, friendly hug, or touch of the hand and you have made someones day (or moment in our case) They don't have pearls of wisdom to share at that stage but they do remind me to live in the moment, for them, that's all they have. To me they aren't Mom, or Dad, there isn't a history to feel upset over. So I can accept them for who they are now, and hopefully help the famlies of this terrible disease. Keeping to focus on what they have now, not what they have lost, for that will never be regained.
I'm also an Award Winning designer, who has over 20 years experince to create your vision. From fine sterling silver and gold to playful altered art, I love it all! Beads are my passion and I shop daily for new and beautiful findings. Using the highest quality products is a must, I never use spray paint in my altered arts, only fully cured resin. And I don't buy salvage from Wal-Mart, and ship it to you as free gifts! There is also no picking on other sellers here, I really think there is enough room for everyone. Honestly how you treat others is how you will be treated. There is enough harsh words and backstabbing out there, remember the words from kindergarden BE NICE! Yes, I can be a bit of a pollyanna. So, with that please check my listings to see if something catches your eye, if not drop me a note and I will see what I can come up with!
Another project I am working on, is banning the use of plastic bags in my house! I read a wonderful article and they already are banned in Ireland. We use some 100 million every day, and only 1% are recycled! And it takes 500 years for ONE to biodegrade. So I bought more reuseable ones from my favorite store Trader Joe's and have been using them instead. I would encourage all of you reading to try and get just one to replace the plastic bags that would still be there like 12 generations later!
I found quote that really speaks to me, and I hope you too: Start with what is right rather than what is acceptable, by Peter Drucker!
This is another web site that I adore. You have seen their commercials on tv, they are all about looking in the direction of peace, love and bettering ourselves.
