About me
Meet Rhonda
I am a registered nurse and I work on the med-surg floor in a busy hospital.
Making jewelry helps me relax and gives me a way to express myself~it is a form of therapy for me.
I like variety, and I make many different kinds of jewelry. My first love is vintage victorian and
art nouveau jewelry, and I have many old brass stampings, chains, and findings that I use to create
new 'old' jewels. From there my tastes expanded, to incorporate Bali silver, gemstone beads, and lampwork
beads made by many talented artists.
How I Got Started
One day at work my hand got squashed between a gurney and a door handle. After that I sat
around at home for a long time with nothing to do. I started poking around in my jewelry box and decided to
figure out how to fix a broken necklace. Much to my surprise, it wasnt hard to do at all. Then I got the
bright idea that *maybe* I could make jewelry of my own, and wouldn't that be cheaper than spending so much
on those vintage pieces that I like? That is how I got sucked in~now my dining room has become a workshop,
I have spent a small fortune on supplies, and the beads are taking over my apartment. Help!
